FPL recognized for exceptional customer service

Juno Beach, Fla. For the fifth consecutive year, Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) has received the prestigious ServiceOne Award, an honor presented annually to recognize utilities that have provided exceptional customer service.

The award is presented by PA Consulting Group, a worldwide management, systems and technology consulting firm. It is based on criteria that cover nearly all of the functional areas within customer service for a typical North American utility, including the contact center, billing, payment, credit and collections, meter reading and safety. 

“The customers of this year’s ServiceOne Award recipients are fortunate to be served by utilities that are not satisfied with the status quo and accept the more difficult commitment of achieving the highest levels of customer service quality,” said Mike Hormell, PA’s ServiceOne program director.  “By taking this challenge seriously and raising the bar for service performance, FPL has created tremendous benefit for customers at home and across the industry.”

FPL’s Customer Care Center also received a ServiceOne Functional Achievement Award, which is presented to recognize outstanding performance within a specific area of customer service.  FPL’s Customer Care Center was honored for demonstrating best practices and excellence in service and safety.
