FPL speakers available to address local organizations
Community Ambassadors will address non-profit groups on everything from hurricanes to home energy use.

JUNO BEACH, Fla.In an effort to best connect with the communities it serves, Florida Power & Light has trained a group of dynamic speakers to inform local neighborhood and community organizations on key issues facing FPL and the utilities industry.

The presentations, which are available to non-profit entities including condominium and homeowner’s associations, business, civic and service groups, are free and cover a variety of topics.

Available topics are:

  •          How to better manage your residential or business electric use
  •          What’s involved in delivering reliable electric service every day
  •          How FPL prepares for hurricanes and restores power
  •          FPL’s line clearing program: The Right Tree in the Right Place
  •          Alternative energy and generating power for the future

“Being a part of the communities we serve is an important part of our mission at FPL,” says Jeff Bartel, FPL vice president for external affairs. “That’s why we have created these volunteer teams of speakers with diverse backgrounds from all areas of our company.”
