HUTCHINSON ISLAND, Fla. – Florida Power and Light Company’s Energy Encounter, located at the St. Lucie Nuclear Power Plant, will host a program on Indian River Community College’s (IRCC) Lifelong Learning Institute on Wednesday, January 17 at 10 a.m. Laura Kelley, program director for the Lifelong Learning Institute, will share information and answer questions about this program for adults.

Designed to celebrate the wisdom of men and women 50-plus, the Lifelong Learning Institute at IRCC is described as a “Health Club for the Brain.” Lifelong learners are provided a college environment that encourages intellectually stimulating and engaging exploration of subjects and topics specifically designed for the attendees. There are no tests, no grades, no pre-requisites and no college credit given. This program provides the opportunity to learn, simply for the joy of learning.
