Some extra FPL crews will remain in the Bradenton-Sarasota area and in St. Johns County in northeast Florida for the next several days to complete clean up efforts, as well as to handle any new calls that may be generated when businesses re-open Monday or residents return from out-of-town trips.
"We thank all of our customers who have aided the restoration efforts with their cooperation, understanding and patience," said Armando Olivera, FPL senior vice president. "And we appreciate the assistance of local emergency management officials in our effort to get power restored as quickly as possible and with as little inconvenience as possible."
"We are also very proud of our FPL employees and contractors for the long hours they devoted to storm restoration efforts and their dedication to serving our customers," Mr. Olivera said.
FPL requests that any customers still without power this morning, please call 1-800-4OUTAGE (1-800-468-8243) so that a crew can be dispatched to make repairs.
