FPL.com Rolls Out New Online Features for Reporting Outages
May 17, 2001

Beginning this month, Florida Power & Light customers may report an outage online and check on the status of their request at the company's recently redesigned Web site, http://www.fpl.com/.

Customers can simply go online and click on the Report Trouble tab, then click on the Power Outage link and follow the prompts. Customers must have their account and Social Security numbers available. It's that simple.

FPL says that 84 percent of customers have access to the Internet and the company wants to make it as simple as possible for our customers to do business with FPL.

Customers may also call 1-800-4OUTAGE (1-800-468-8243) to report trouble with their service.

Florida Power & Light is the principal subsidiary of FPL Group, Inc. , one of the nation's largest providers of electricity-related services with annual revenues of more than $7 billion.
