FPL To Showcase Quality At 7th Annual Quality & Safety Expo

WHAT: Florida Power & Light employees will showcase quality improvement efforts and safety methods at the 7th annual corporate-wide Quality & Safety Expo. Key customers and suppliers have been invited to view more than 100 booths that will highlight best work practices for improving customer satisfaction as well as for reducing costs and process cycle time.

Prior to the official start of the expo, FPL Group Chairman Jim Broadhead will make a brief presentation to key commercial and industrial customers regarding FPL's announced merger with Entergy Corp.

FPL's President's Cup team will demonstrate how it has improved the reliability of electric service to FPL's customers by improving the performance of a particular model of distribution feeder breaker.

Visiting teams from Xerox Corp., Verizon, Florida Atlantic University, Office Depot, MCI WorldCom, Miami Dade County, Northrop Gumman, University of Miami, Palm Beach County, Florida Department of Corrections and Motorola Corp. are among the 66 booths featuring quality-related displays.

The Safety 2000 section fills the C-building lobby and main corridor with 36 booth and two outside displays.
