"To be named Florida's most trusted electric utility is no small feat," said Eric Silagy, president and chief executive officer of Florida Power & Light Company. "This recognition speaks to the unwavering dedication of our nearly 9,000 employees who are committed to delivering award-winning customer service, high reliability and electric bills that remain the lowest in Florida and 30 percent below the national average."

"Brand trust is the cornerstone of a utility relationship," says Chris Oberle, senior vice president at Market Strategies International. "It's simple – customers like dealing with companies they trust and push back on offerings from companies that are not trusted advisers."

Cogent Reports' survey included responses from more than 25,000 residential customers for the 125 largest US electric, natural gas and combination utility companies (based on residential customer counts). The survey also measured the overall customer engagement relationship which is comprised of factors such as company reputation, advocacy, customer focus, community support, communication effectiveness, environmental dedication and reliable quality.
